Integrating Naturopathic Medicine with Conventional Care
Keynote Speaker:
Peter D’Adamo is a naturopathic physician who is also an author, researcher-educator, Ivesian, amateur horologist, budding software developer and air-cooled enthusiast. He is considered a world expert in glycobiology, principally the ABO (ABH) blood groups and the secretor (FUT2) polymorphisms. He is Adjunct Clinical Professor for both the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Tempe AZ, and the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Portland OR, and teaches Generative Medicine I-II and Introduction to Biochemical Individuality. He is the Director of the new University of Bridgeport Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine.
In 2001 Dr. D’Adamo founded the Institute for Human Individuality (IfHI). In 2003 he instigated the first IfHI biannual conference and certification, at which he was the keynote speaker. These conferences, which have attracted the best and brightest minds in nutritional genomics, have continued through 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. In 1996 Dr. D’Adamo wrote the NY Times Bestseller Eat Right For Your Type.

Dr. Paul Mittman ND – President & CEO of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Founding President of the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges, Tempe, AZ. As president of SCNM in Tempe, Ariz., Dr. Mittman brings more than 20 years of experience as a distinguished Naturopathic Physician, researcher, author and lecturer.
Dr. Michelle Niesley ND, FABNO – Co-Founder of Chemo and Crayons & Owner of the Clinic of Natural Medicine, Eugene, OR. Dr. Niesley earned her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University, Seattle, WA, in 2001. She subsequently completed a two-year, hospital-based residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) (www.cancercenter.com) near Chicago, Illinois. In 2005, Dr. Niesley obtained a Masters in Evaluative Clinical Sciences, with an emphasis on biostatistics and epidemiology, from Dartmouth College.
Dr. Michael Reece, ND – Past President of Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Michael Reece, ND, received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) degree in 1983 from the John Bastyr College of Naturopathic Medicine (now known as Bastyr University). Located in the Seattle, Washington area, Bastyr University is an accredited four-year graduate level residential naturopathic medical school.
Dr. Emily Telfair, ND – Co-Chair of AANP State Alliance & Past President of Maryland Naturopathic Doctors Association. Dr. Emily Telfair earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton with a dual major in Biology and Psychology. Her naturopathic medical training included five years of intensive coursework and clinical experience in science-based natural medicine.

The PANP Annual Conference draws Naturopathic Doctors from across the Mid-Atlantic region, New England, and the Mid-West, as well as naturopathic medical students from Bridgeport University and National University of Health Sciences. This year we anticipate attendance from MDs and DOs looking to learn more about naturopathic medicine, as well as many and advisors.
Event Overview:
Join us Friday evening for a jubilant evening with Dr. D’Adamo. This portion of the conference is open to the public as well as to the professional attendees. There will be light refreshments, along with prizes, raffles, and a toast to the accomplishments of the PANP.
Saturday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm will be a full day of continuing medical education, featuring experts in naturopathic medicine from across the country. Topics planned for Saturday already include:
